Elizabeth Crowley has a proven record bringing results to her constituents in the New York City Council. She is running for Congress in New York's new 6th Congressional District to continue her advocacy for seniors, women, and middle class families.

As a member of the City Council, Elizabeth has fought for services that our neighborhoods depend on:

  • Led the charge to stop the Mayor's attempt to close over 20 firehouses
  • Fought to build new public schools
  • Dedicated herself to protecting and improving health care services for women,including coverage for early cancer screening and quality prenatal care.

Council Member Elizabeth S. Crowley is the first Democrat and first woman to represent the 30th Council District of New York City, located in Western Queens. Elected in November 2008 by an overwhelming majority of the vote, Elizabeth serves as the Chair of the Fire and Criminal Justice Services Committee of the City Council.


Elizabeth has proven to be a strong and effective advocate who delivers real results to New Yorkers. Elizabeth has been hailed by the media as one of “the hardest-working members of the City Council.” Throughout her career, Elizabeth has been a strong advocate for public safety, women’s health, and working families.
