Elizabeth will work for our small businesses and local career development

Elizabeth will fight any new taxes and ensure that our neighborhood gets its fair share from the city and state. Elizabeth will work for our small businesses, build better partnerships with government, and develop job training and career opportunity. Elizabeth has experience managing economic recovery after the tragedy of 9/11. Elizabeth administered the NYC $32 Million emergency employment and business initiative.

Elizabeth Crowley has brought job training services and education programs to thousands of new Yorkers in need. 'In City Hall, Elizabeth will draw on her experience building partnerships with businesses and community centers throughout New York City. Elizabeth will continue to create job opportunities and economic success for us as she has already done for thousands of New Yorkers.

Making Our Families Healthier
Elizabeth Crowley knows that no one should have to choose between buying their groceries and filling their prescriptions. No one should have to worry about affording quality health care. In the City Council, Elizabeth will never stop fighting to make healthcare more accessible and to ensure a healthier future for all our families.

At City Hall, we can count on Elizabeth Crowley to fund our hospitals, and to expand prescription drug programs and to provide our senior centers the resources they need to care for our parents and our grandparents.

Protecting Our Community
The granddaughter of two police officers and the cousin of several firefighters, Elizabeth Crowley grew up honoring and respecting the brave men and women of the FDNY and NYPD. Our community was hit hard by the tragic events of September 11th, and Elizabeth will never forget the ultimate sacrifice so many of New York’s bravest and finest made that day.

In the City Council, Elizabeth will work to improve public safety and to reduce crime by making sure our police and emergency services are adequately funded – so we have more cops patrolling our streets and more firefighters protecting our homes. Elizabeth is proudly supported by the Uniformed Fire Officers and she will always remember their service and courage as she fights for our community at City Hall.

An Educator to Improve Our Schools
As an educator, and a mother of two children in local schools, nothing is more important to Elizabeth Crowley than strengthening New York City’s education system. Elizabeth knows that our community has some of the best schools in the city, but she also knows that we can do better:

In the City Council, Elizabeth will put her background in education to work for us. Elizabeth will reduce class size, attract and retain the best teachers and work to ensure that students master the skill of one grade before moving on to the next. Even in tough budget times, we can count on Elizabeth to stand up for our schools and to make sure that our teachers have the resources they need to give every one of our kids a sound education.
